Every year the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) hosts a fashion design competition know as Product Runway. Local design studios pair up with material representatives to design an outfit that is constructed out of materials provided by the material rep. This year's theme was Express your wild side and each team was randomly assigned an animal category. As a student and as a member of IIDA I was able to be on a team with a local design studio and was paired with Crimson Design Group whose theme was circus performers. In addition to designing an outfit to go along with the theme, each team was required to create a promotional poster for their runway look using a boarder template that was given to each team. My team's concept for the runway outfit that transformed from ring leader to tiger. It was my responsibility to develop the poster based on discussions and inspirational photos provided by other team members. The goal for this poster was for it to be a modern-day circus poster that had elements reminiscent of vintage circus posters.
