NINTENDO DISPLAYS

The concept of this table was inspired by the idea of maintaining balance in my work, school and personal life. I decided to channel this idea in my design through form, function and materiality. The function of my table is to use it in bed as a small work table that allows me to work in bed while having movies or shows play in the background. The legs create a triangle shape that relates to the idea of creating balance through three aspects of life. The table top resembles an ergonomic pebble-like shape, taken from the visual of stacked stones balancing on one another. Together the two forms create a cantilever, a balanced form which appears to be visually unbalanced. As for materiality of the table it only made sense to use bamboo, a unique wood often used for refreshing and natural spaces.
